Blurred thinking:

Punishment should never be delivered when angry, she wrote. Further down she speaks of "being irritated", "irritates me". Why? Both are real feelings and if BDSM is only role play, true or real feelings do not seem relevant, so why even become irritated when spanking or punishing? BDSM appears to be simple mechanics: You did that, I do this, you said that, I say this and we have beforehand agreed to the script.

Or, is the point that being irritated when punishing do not cross the line of being a responsible spanker? That is; being irritated does not lead to the lack of control anger may? We see the point, indeed, and being a little irritated, faked or not, might add spice to the punishment.

Her point of her husband seeing this simply as a sexual thrill, seems to miss the point: the whole point of BDSM is the sexual thrill; if the sexual thrill is removed, all we're left with is a certain practical arrangement husbands get absolutely no gratification from, making the roof, doing the tiles, painting the fence, shovelling the snow. Then what? Of course to women this has enormous practical value, but to a man submission in itself comprises an inherent sexual thrill. Men and women come together simply because of the already existing sexual tension between them, and dominas who try to make BDSM sound like an activity devoid of the male sexual gratification, do indeed seem to miss the point. No man paint fences in eternity for its own sake.

In real life stories, the partners seem far more willing to accept the sexual thrill of BDSM than what this presumed dominatrix does. To the writer of the above lines, BDSM appears to be an activity devoid of the sexual thrill.

If the spankee does indeed like the spanker to be angry when delivering the strokes, why not? As long as all is consented to, anything goes.

Forging a relationship that works is apparently a tall order for many if not most of us.

The idea of female superiority appeals to a significant minority of men, but I am not aware of any evidence that in and of itself such a balance of power with provide relationship nirvana for either party.

As you have so clearly pointed out throughout your post, a female superior relationship that lasts more than a short while is very much a relationship and, as such, must work for both parties.

Thank you for laying out such a thoughtful and doable plan for achieving that.
